”He’s got the voice of an angel… and the charms of a devil.” Charlotte For years, I tutored students too full of themselves to actually study on their own. Yet, I’ve never met a man like Heath. This rock star has fame, a killer voice, and an equally killer body. The only problem is that he never finished high school. His record company’s new management will kick him out unless he earns his certificate. He has to buckle down and pass an exam or his days of performing are over. This rock star is a lost cause who can barely write a legible sentence. Not to mention that’s he is the most, arrogant, conceited student I’ve ever had the displeasure of teaching. And he’s the sexiest, cockiest man I’ve ever met… Heath Who the hell needs Grammar school when my songs top the charts? I don’t care if the public thinks I’m an illiterate bastard. Unfortunately, my record label does. They’ve saddled me with some stuck up broad from the States as a last ditch effort to save my career. The problem is that I’ve never met a woman I couldn’t charm the clothes off. The woman thinks she’s the one who’ll teach me. I’ll show her I can give her a lesson or two in return! She’ll be begging to stay after school for more.

Not your typical rockstar book. Heath and Charlotte's story has an interesting premise and had a lot of potential as a storyline, but some questionable editing and not very well developed characters, left the book little flat. Heath's character was interesting, sympathetic, and seriously hot. Charlotte, on the other hand, was not nearly as compelling and quite frankly, boring and physically not well defined. I think the author neglected to remember books need to paint pictures and Charlotte was described by the clothes she wore and not her physical attributes. Weird. Editing was spotty, random words, transposed verbiage...odd. I think the author has potential, the story had some interesting twists and would read another of her books. I was gifted an ARC for an honest review and look forward to what Julia Gardener writes next.Product details

* I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review. *
This book has a hot rock star with a learning disability and a tutor who changes his world. There is a little bit of suspense thrown in with the romance. At first Heath is a little bit much to take, but as the story progresses you really feel for him and what he is going through. The prologue wraps things up for a nice sweet ending.
I was given an ARC for an honest review.
I started reading this yesterday and finished this morning.
Heath is a rock star that cannot read, Charlotte is his tutor that the record company hired to help him pass a test. Heath is much deeper than he lets most people see, but he shows it to Charlotte, almost right away. They have an attraction that cannot be denied but Charlotte is going to remain professional, if she can.
I loved this book, it was an awesome story, There were many grammar and editing errors, that hopefully were taken care of in the final book.
This was an enjoyable read. I was concerned when GED was written as GDE in the beginning of the book. Just one of the many errors that distracted from the story. I received an ARC of this book and hope that the errors were fixed before the book was released. The story was not about the rocker lifestyle, one of the main characters just happened to be a rock star. Heath's contract with the recording label indicated that he needed to pass the British version of the GED. Charlotte is hired to be his tutor. Heath feels a connection with Charlotte and their relationship grows.
I received and advanced copy for an honest review. I loved the plot and storyline of this book. Charlotte is a straight laced teacher, given the task of educating a "bad boy" rock star. She uncovers things about him that no one else has, and their relationship blossoms. What I had a really hard time getting past were all the glaring errors in this book. Who ever the editor was, they need to pay more attention. In the first chapters the name of one of the main characters kept changing, I kept wondering if Harold and Howard were two different people, but they weren't. Also test names were incorrectly identified. I enjoyed the book after I got past the mistakes.
This is the first book I've read by this author. I received this book as an ARC in exchange for an honest review. We have Heath the bad boy British rock god headman for Double Damage. Then we have Charlotte the prim tutor who's been contracted to go on tour with the band. Charlotte is to help Heath get his GCSE which is the British equivalent to our GED. Heath of course, really doesn't want to go along with his manager's plan for this tutor. Heath did not have the best start in life and was in a very abusive house hold growing up. He really cannot see his self worth at all. Charlotte sees something in him and is the first one to see Heath for who he really is. It's not long before Heath is opening up to Charlotte with all his hidden depths. I wish that the Charlotte character could have been a bit more developed but for my first book by the Author, it was a good read.
This is the second novel I have read from this author, and I can honestly say she did not disappoint me. She has a way of writing her books, that they contain more then just romance. Her books are filled with action, suspense, romance and a few twists that keep you guessing. At first when you start reading the story, you think that its your typical bad boy meets good girl fall in love and he's tamed and all is well, but then it develops into a whole new and creative plot that keeps you interested and entertained. This author also has a way of developing each character too. They seem to each have their own persona that makes them each likeable/lovable and wanting more, while also really despising others. I would have to say this was a really good rockstar romance genre book. I would definetly add this to your library, especially if your into the rockstar romance type of books.

I enjoyed this rockstar romance with a different twist. The rockstar is required by the record company to receive the British equivalent of a GED. A rather odd concept, but he falls for his female tutor...some one very different from the groupies he sleeps with. She radically changes him, A sweet story.
I didn't feel very connected to the H and h and there were quite a few really sappy lines. Sometimes eye rolling producing. I very rarely give 5 stars, so a book I really like is usually 4 stars...this story was enjoyable and worth the time to read, but didn't blow my sock off
